With yesterdays announcement and the rapid community spread happening, as a business that relies on direct contact, we made the decision to do our part in trying to reduce the spread of covid cases if even by a percentage of a fraction. Our Dartmouth location is going to close for 2 weeks reopening on December 8th. It is imperative that we note that there has been no exposure in this location and this closure is geared to do our part as a community based business to protect t...he people around us. While we understand that some people may be inconvenienced by this, we ask for understanding and patience during this time. Chancing an exposure means that I wouldn’t see my kids for 2 weeks or more and even worse the risk of passing a virus along to them. Both of which would be emotionally and mentally crippling. Some things are worth the sacrifice. Please stay home. Buy locally with curb side pick up. Buy gift cards for your favourite service providers in the city to give as Christmas gifts. Order delivery from your favourite local restaurants. Do what you can to support local business but let’s all do our part to get this under control. See more

Well this was inevitable being in the downtown core. We received a call from a client who told us he and his roommate had tested positive for covid and visited our Halifax location Friday between 3:30 and 5:00 PM. We certainly hope these two are feeling and doing okay. We have not been contacted by Public Health but being a properly licensed and regulated barbershop means your main concern is the health and safety of the public so we have contacted Public Health ourselves to ...let them know about the exposure, we are contacting anyone who was potentially exposed and we have closed the Halifax shop while everyone gets tested/waits on their results. Once we get further instructions from Public Health we will update you on what’s happening in this specific location.Dartmouth, Annapolis, and Kentville shops are still open and as we have been doing since we came back, we are following all guidelines and procedures. We ask that if you have visited any of the places that have been listed as exposure sites or are feeling unwell to not come to your appointment. Be safe everyone.

We lost an incredibly good friend last week both from a shop stand point but also an industry stand point. @mrsamwall took his own life and to say it was emotional has been an understatement. Please. Men. Talk about what is bothering you. Be vulnerable. Have a support system that you feel comfortable and protected with. We lose 60 men every hour, every day all around the world to suicide and that is 60 men every hour, everyday too many. I wish you knew how much you were loved and needed Sam. It is also Movember so let’s get talking.
