Green's by the 1940s was more than a tobacco shop - I've seen ads for model airplanes, model trains, alarm clocks, and candy - what do you remember buying at this iconic location?

Which of these comfy chairs from Marcus on King Street would you choose - they all look like the perfect choice for these times. Stay healthy and safe wherever you are.

One of the Holocaust survivors to visit Saint John and share her story was Faigie Libman - the message of her talk is one of positivity and strength against adversity. Listening to this interview recorded as part of Toronto's Holocaust Education Week is an hour very well spent. https://virtualjcc.com//conversation-with-holocaust-surviv

From The Evening Times Globe Monday, September 14, 1936, page 14 Opens New Store Fred N. Gauvin, proprietor of the New Brunswick Radio Company, 7 Germain Street, who announces the opening today of a branch store at 68 King Street. Recently renovated, the premises formerly occupied by Gilmour’s. promises spacious quarters for a large and attractive display of radios, coal ranges, oil burners, electric washers, electric refrigerators and electric ranges. Mr. Gauvin personally will manage both stores and has associated with him John Vaughn and Collins Mullaly as salesmen and James Baxter and John Conway in the service department. Please share some memories of early radio and television.
