To recap today’s live stream please see note from our Artistic Director, Stephen Tobias: In light of the recent announcements from the Provincial health authorities who have changed the status of our region of New Brunswick to Orange we will be canceling all live public events at the BMO Studio Theatre from now until the end of December. Given the gravity of the situation, it is the only prudent course of action. To be clear, under the Orange guidelines, we could proceed wi...th smaller live events and gatherings, but we do not believe this to be in the best interests of our patrons or our community at large. We have taken great steps to ensure the comfort and safety of our guests. However, under the circumstances, it would be tone-deaf for us to continue to encourage patrons to attend. We hope that you will all understand. The more positive news that I can report is that the SJTC teams have spent months preparing for just such a scenario. As we prepared to launch a Fall series of live theatre at The BMO Studio Theatre, we were committed to offering digital versions of all our work so that, should we be forced to limit attendance, we would be prepared to share the creative work digitally. This is the case with the Drawer Boy. A number of patrons have already purchased tickets to see the Drawer Boy this coming week and while you will have the option of receiving a full refund, we encourage you to work with the BMO Studio Box Office to change your tickets to Streaming Tickets so that you can watch this amazing play from the comfort of your own home. Sit back, pour a glass of wine, make some popcorn, plug your laptop into your big-screen TV and enjoy the show The SJTC box office will reach out to current ticket holders to offer a refund or exchange for a streaming ticket to the play.
