This #YMCAPeaceWeek, we want to highlight our local partners, who work hard to #BuildCommunity and #ActForPeace here in #SaintJohn. The ONE Change Inc builds peace in our community through initiatives like community take-out pancake breakfasts to check in, chat, and provide. "Engaging with our community has taken on many different forms this year. There is a lot happening in our World that affects our ability to get together and share within our neighbourhood. Food, social ti...me, and services that we have taken for granted are now taking on different forms. At ONE Change in the North End of Saint John, we build our community through initiatives such as a community take-out pancake breakfast. It allows us to check-in, chat, and provide."

Family Play Groups will be cancelled for the week of November 23 - 29 in light of the Saint John Region (Zone 2) transitioning to the orange phase of the GNB COVID-19 Recovery Plan. We've proactively made this decision to help keep our children and community as safe and healthy as possible. We will be reassessing offering Family Play Groups weekly, following government guidelines and recommendations. Thank you for your understanding and please stay tuned for updates!

Our latest Y Story is making a real splash! Darren Lundrigan is serious athlete with 35+ years of experience with the Y. This past year, he enrolled in swim lessons, which helped him learn a new skill and conquer a lifelong fear of water. This past year, I made a decision that I wanted to learn to lane swim and participate in a triathlon. The bike portion is a given and I can even pull off a run if I try hard enough, he said.
