Seniors Active Living Centre- Program Assistant Part Time 25 Hours per week Arnprior Regional Health, less than 30 minutes northwest of Ottawa, is a multisite and integrated health service organization offering, acute, long-term care and community programs and services. Working by our values of Honesty, Accountability, Respect & Teamwork, this progressive 105-bed organization is now embarking on a new and expanded nursing home redevelopment project along with an increased ...focus on patient/resident/client engagement in pursuit of our vision Together we will create a healthy community. The Seniors Active Living Centre (SALC) provides programs and services to promote the physical, emotional and social well-being of seniors that enables seniors to remain independent, active, healthy and socially engaged. We are seeking a Part Time Program Assistant for 25 hours per week to support the Coordinator in the delivery of programs and services. The incumbent will be responsible for the following duties: Assists in planning and implementing a variety of, social and recreational activities for clients. Assists with the development and preparation of communication tools (newsletters, posters, notices, calendars, social media etc.) designed to provide seniors and volunteers located in our community with information regarding current and future activities and special events; Assists with the setup, tear down and sanitization of equipment for activities and events; Assists the Program Coordinator with all assigned clerical duties; Create a safe, pleasant, creative recreational environment; Perform other related duties as required Qualifications: Successful completion of Grade 12 or recognized equivalency 1 - 2 years’ experience in a customer service environment; Experience and passion for supporting innovative programs that promote active living Excellent interpersonal skills Reliability and punctuality Ability to work co-operatively with a variety of people in a team environment Capable of meeting the physical demands of the job- i.e. sitting, standing, bending Willingness to wear personal protective apparel (mask, gloves) Current First Aid and CPR certificate desirable Salary range: $18.50 - $20.00/ hr.
