Meet Karen, a participant of the 30 Over 30 Portrait Series! Here's what Karen had to say when asked if there was a moment in her life that she really began to love herself: "I would probably say...I definitely battled with a lot of confidence issues in my earlier years. I grew up in a foster home and I always felt like I was maybe not the same as other kids. ... And even starting the journey of entrepreneurship... my husband, well he was my then boyfriend, we started (entrepreneurship) at the time. I kind of always felt like I was in his shadow a little bit... but I think there was a significant change when I realized that I was either going to be the person to move us forward or hold us back. And I decided at that point that instead of working behind him, I was going to work beside him. And that was when my confidence grew, I felt like I was coming into my own..." Meet Rona, 51 and a participant of the 30 Over 30 Portrait Series aimed at celebrating 30 incredible women ages 30 and above. Here are a few snippets of what Rona shared during her interview: " Significant points of change? The biggest one for me was my father's passing. And that's been 10 years ago now. The reason that it was so significant was that my father passed away very suddenly, there were no signs that anything was wrong with him and the significance of it was that m...y father hadn't done many things that he had talked about doing throughout his life. So it was a huge impact to me, it was a wake up call that I shouldn't keep putting things off because of time or money or anything." "...I make the time, I find the money. But one of my biggest passions was having a motorbike license and the year after my father passed away I bit the bullet and got my motorbike license. My husband and I have done some phenomenal trips, the Grand Canyon, we've done Moab, Utah, we went to Sturgis for their 75th anniversary...Free, young and going strong!" Meet Nina a participant of the 30 over 30 portrait series, a series aimed at highlighting and celebrating 30 incredible women over the age of 30. Each woman that participates experiences her own custom portrait session and gets asked a few questions about what it is to be a woman over the age of 30. Nina had this to share about her experience: "Today was pretty awesome! I think that us women we don't really give ourselves the time or the effort, or we don't believe that it's ...OK to pay ourselves first so we kind of put ourselves on the backburner. That's why this year I've really been intentional in terms of what I am doing for myself, with myself and by myself. Because I know that in the years to come I'm going to look back and say, "Man this was such an awesome opportunity, and I'm glad to be a part of it."
