I was playing Frisbee with my Grandson at Riverside Park, the game came to an abrupt end when the tree kept our Frisbee We decided to get a football from my car and use it to knock the frisbee down. We were not having much success A young Gentleman who had been reading under a tree nearby kindly agreed to give it a try, he came close a few times, but the tree was not releasing the Frisbee. then on his 10th attempt - the tree kept our Football. We thanked him for trying... and off he went. Determined people that we are, my Grandson and I then grabbed a soccer ball from the car, surely this would work. A young Couple was walking by as we were attempting to knock it down with the soccer ball, and graciously agreed to give it a try, sadly the tree kept our Soccer Ball. The young man felt badly but we told him it was ok; we knew the risk when we asked for his help and we really appreciated his efforts. That greedy tree now had our Frisbee our Football and our Soccer Ball. A young family was walking by and the Dad grabbed a stick to throw into the trees, WOW could he throw, nothing came down the first time, but things looked promising. Untilyou guessed itthe tree kept the stick. As with all Hero’s this man was determined! He was quick to find another stick and eventually managed to free our football and our soccer ball We could not thank him and his very patient family enough. With a little convincing our Hero agreed to leave the Frisbee in the tree so that he and his family could carry on and enjoy the music in the park. When you see the red Frisbee high up in the tree at Riverside Park stop and appreciate all the kind and helpful people who call Kamloops Home We did! Sally Scott Kamloops
