He & Alex Ovechkin are the only 2 players from the 2004 Draft Class to reach the 1000-plus games mark! Former Silverbacks captain Akito Hirose has made quite the impression after just 7 games with Minnesota State Mavericks Hockey. Earlier this week, we went back to our roots and headed down to Shuswap Lake for some good old pond hockey! A massive thank you to Kristal Burgess Photography for the amazing photos. This is another reminder of how privileged and thankful we are to play in one of the most beautiful places in Canada!

We'd like to highlight the great work SASCU does to support the youth in our community, via scholarships, educational awards & bursaries! Right now, the Credit Unions of BC Bursary Program is open until Feb. 15, which is an annual award for a student entering a trade program at the Okanagan College Salmon Arm campus. On this day 3 years ago, we edged the Nanaimo Clippers on the road 5-4, thanks to 2 goals from Rhett Kingston, including this GWG, which was his 20th of the season!
