As we transition into back to school I am shifting focus and moving into a business maintenance mode. As we all face unknown for day to day operations in a pandemic I am finding the need for flexibility. As many of you know I book 4-6 weeks in advance and face challenges with moving appointments around because I operate a fully booked calendar. This for so long has been a business goal of mine. To have security in my career and I am so thankful for all my amazing clients th...at have helped me reach this point. In the past I would have sacrificed my health and wellness (*on my own free will*) and most definitely come to work with the sniffles so I wouldn’t have to reschedule anyone. I felt it was such a disappointment and inconvenience for my clients. You are so much more valuable to me than that. I should be concerned with germ spread and what it could do to every person that comes into the salon. Moving forward I will be taking sick days more seriously. So as I begin to anticipate needing time for sick days for family members or myself with the return to school, I will be respecting all of the new sick policies we have in place for everyone’s well being. I am looking to take a less selfish approach and put EVERYONES health and wellness first. I plan to be prepared and not panicked. This means I will NOT be able to take on any new clients so that I can create flex days. These flex days will allow me flexibility if I have to take time off for illness. They will allow me to provide a day in the not so distant future to reschedule any appointments that will need to be moved due to illness. Thank you for your understanding, Much love
