This past year, the pandemic brought many challenges to us all, but also, many insights and opportunities, in ways we could not imagine! Being compelled to retreat from our businesses, communities, friends and families, forced us to develop a strength, humility and patience, we did not know we possessed But this also allowed for the rare opportunity to truly slow down in our lives and breathe; to be mindful of the beauty, abundance and goodness that is all around us and w...ithin us; to reflect and re-examine what we hold dear, what we value and hold to be true, and to be grateful for what we have , as individuals and as a global community. I believe the most valuable gift of 2020, was to remind us that we truly are," all in this together "! We are a global family and planet that must help one another, and grow in respect and love for one another. " The force for good and for change is each one of us multiplied by all of us"- ( Dalai Lama) Let's raise a toast to 2021 and approach it with optimism and a resilient spirit . We are excited about the projected reopening date of May 19th! Beginning tomorrow, we will begin the process of rescheduling all those clients who were canceled during the period of our closure: March 20- May 19. We will then proceed to those clients who have existing appointments from May 19th forward and all of you who have left messages to be added on to our appointment list. We are excited , but also a little apprehensive . We are hopeful of the reopening date, but this,... of course, is dependent on our ability to obtain all of the required PPE equipment and other necessities required in order to reopen; as well as consistent low numbers of virus cases. BUSINESS NOT AS USUAL: - Based on provincial guidelines and recommendations, clients will be asked to arrive right on their appointment time( if you arrive early, we ask that you please wait in your vehicle). - We are required to wear PPE equipment, so we ask that you also wear your own mask for your appointment.( At least for this first visit; please message us if you want recommendations on where to acquire masks). - There are strict sanitization guidelines which will take extra time between guests; we also ask that you wash your hands upon arrival. - If you are feeling unwell or have symptoms, we ask that you please stay home. - There will be a slight increase in costs to our services, due to considerable increase in operational costs. - You will most likely be asked to fill out a waiver. We hope that you will support us in following the provincial guidelines in order to provide services that keep us all safe. We look forward to seeing you all again! Thankyou

Hurray! Many of you have probably now heard the news of the governments 5 phase plan to reopen our economy. Under that plan, the reopening of hair salons falls under Phase 2, on May 19th. We are so excited to see you all again!! Having said that, it wont quite be business as usual. There will be stringent guidelines we will all have to follow and details to be worked out. Once we are clear on all these details and have an efficient plan of action returning back to work,... we will provide you with updates. Bookings for our reopening will begin next week. In the spirit of fairness, we will prioritize booking of clients based on individuals who were canceled during the period of March 20- May19. Then we will continue with those who were previously booked going forward, and then those who have left messages with us to be added to our list when reopening. We will absolutely do our best to accommodate everyone while adjusting to this new " normal". Dear Friends of Lemon Drop: We are missing you all and sincerely hope that you are staying safe and healthy!! We have been closed for two weeks now, and it would appear that these measures will remain in effect for weeks to come. In the meantime, our team continue to think about you and care about how you are coping personally. We miss our conversations with you and the opportunity to make you look and feel your best through our regular visits. And, of course we care about ...how you are managing with your hair care at home. Like our motto below " When life gives you lemons..." this could not be more fitting during this time! While we cannot be there to attend to all of your regular colour, cut and styling services, we would like to encourage you to take this time and just focus on hair care. Embrace this time to let your hair have a break from coloring, bleaching and chemical treatments. Focus on nourishing hair with great shampoo/ conditioner and hair masques from our Surface or Milk Shake lines. For blondes, we also have toning blow dry pastes , sprays, and mousses. For those who just cant stand your grey roots, we recommend just a brush- on color that comes out with each wash. We are looking at getting more of these in, or they can be purchased at Sallys or a drug store. For our men, maybe time to try a longer style; we also have Reuzal styling products to help you manage a longer look. If you would like to order hair care products,please direct message us on our page and we will do our best to accommodate you, regarding drop off and pick up. ( Some products may not be available immediately, as they have to be ordered, thankyou). We will do regular posts about our hair care products to help you make the best choice for your self- care hair regime. In the meantime, our team will be using this time to take advantage of free on-line education so that we can be excited and inspired when we see you all again!! We will be checking phone messages weekly, if you want to leave your name to be added to list, but are not starting to book appointments in advance until we have a clearer time frame of when we might be able to reopen. However; those of you that had existing appointments that had to be canceled, will be contacted first. So this is the atmosphere at Lemon Drop this week: We are diligently adhering to the provincial workplace health standards and sanitary practices. As well, we are asking our guests who may be under the weather, or have compromised immune systems, to refrain from coming to salon; and those who have recently travelled, to wait the required self- quarantine period. We are a spacious studio with large open windows, and are only having up to six people in salon at one time.

To Our Valued Guests: With growing global concerns around COVID-19( Coronavirus), we would like to provide you with an update on our current response and our ongoing commitment to you! Lemon Drop is taking additional preventive measures for the continued health and safety of our guests and staff; ( please read below). We are also asking guests who have recently travelled; even if you have no symptoms of sickness, to wait at least 10 days before booking an appointment. Thankyou
