A dozen or so people have reached out to me in the past week asking when The Salsa Club events will be starting again, so I thought it might be on other people's minds too, so I'm writing to communicate the following: Indoor & outdoor dancing is possible at this time! However, some of the key health guidelines provided by the Province and Toronto's Health Departments are: - capacity limits - only socializing (dancing) with the 10 people in your circle... - maintaining at least 2 meters from others - taking reservations vs. walk-ins - health screening - washing hands - wearing masks etc. Unfortunately, Social Dancing as it was before, meaning dancing with others outside your circle isn't anywhere in the foreseeable future and in fact, can lead to fines up to $100k and jail time. That said, I am happy to organize something!! If you... 1. feel comfortable going out 2. have a dance partner or people in your circle wanting to dance 3. abide by provincial emergency health rules Send me a private message via FB or text me (647) 501-0269 letting me know you want and are ready to get out and dance. One thing we will keep communicating until everyone understands is that social dancing as we once knew it is a thing of the past.... swapping partners or dancing with multiple partners will not be happening any time soon due to covid19, which is why we have put together NEW SOCIAL DANCE POLICIES that meet Ontario and Municipal regulations and guidelines. What we've been waiting for.... Premier Ford announced Toronto will enter Stage 3 this Friday. We'll open this weekend for outdoor dancing with the following Conditions for Entry: 1. Anyone sick or feeling unwell must stay home. 2. Dance only with your household or social circle. 3. Tickets will be sold by POD which are marked off areas for you and your social circle to remain (sitting, dancing or standing) unless you need to use the washroom, go to eat or drink or for emer...gencies. PODs are ~ 9 feet apart from other PODs. You cannot dance or socialize with anyone outside your POD/social circle in the event area. 4. Bring and wear a mask or face covering to wear outside your POD. 5. Maintain 2-metres apart from people outside your household/social circle. 6. Buying tickets in-advance is strongly encouraged to avoid unplanned crowds or facing a sold out event. If there are PODs available, non-ticket holders may be allowed to enter after the event start time however this is not guaranteed. 7. Wash your hands often, bring your own hand sanitizer and a lawn chair for sitting.
