Thoughts on judgement, which I welcome in healthy doses. Usually it’s from myself! It’s not lost on me that a lot of the work I do can be triggering for others. Energy work is becoming more accepted but I still feel the vibes floating around from skeptics and nay-sayers. And that’s ok, we all have a right to our opinions. As long as my boundaries aren’t being crossed I welcome and respect other points of view. To be completely transparent, I doubted Reiki (esp distance Reiki...) myself until I experienced it, felt the benefits in my own life & then repeatedly received positive, consistent feedback from my own clients. I trust Reiki & I trust my work. I can’t stand to be outside my integrity and I’m my own worst critic for it. The same goes for Tarot. I get it, everyone wants to be a reader these days & I say that without judgement. Let folks explore- the longevity & sacredness of the Tarot isn’t going to crumble under a trend & in my opinion those who aren’t meant to see it through will naturally move on to find their voice in another way, no love lost. Being a reader is not glamorous & I believe that protects the Tarot in a way. If you dive in ego first it will eat you for breakfast. I respect the Tarot and I trust the way I work with it. I trust my work because I consistently invest in my own energy, personal relationships and mental, emotional & physical health in order to show up the best I can for myself & my clients. I am forever developing my own personal relationship with Reiki & the Tarot- sometimes with an open heart & a clear mind- other times with teeth gnashing rage & egocentric resistance. At it’s core, developing trust in the Tarot & energy work means cultivating a relationship with the Death Mother; the great unknown- the Divine Womb of all creation. It’s intense, gratifying, sometimes mundane as can be and other times more ego crushing than I feel I can handle in the moment. And I truly fucking love it. True-ugly-cry-type of love. I wouldn’t be spending my time doing these things if I didn’t feel so passionately about them. I’m simply not interested in wasting anyone’s time, including my own.

The Ancients are rugged rings of vibrations; a deep, low & long song of remembrance- Layers of old growth feeding new life in an infinite spiral of death & regeneration. To feel this resonate in my own ancient marrow is to sound a chorus of reverence that cuts through time & trouble to the bell of joy at the navel- the centre of being; the booming portal of all creation.

Today I was staying close to home comforts and as I was casually walking to the washroom (the most mundane of daily haps), the Mother of Pentacles called to say: . Keep close to the ground, to source. Heel to toe feel your soul in every step. Solid objects are spirit, too. . I believe that the most spiritual thing I can do is remain present in my body. To be here is to build a home that welcomes experience; that houses resiliency. To live lovingly in my own body is to inspir...e trust and provide security. . When I am taken care of and when I am taking care of myself, I can become a vessel that transports kindness and delivers care to myself and those around me. . I said thanks, she said share. .
