Expert at manifesting her vision through batik, glass and sculpture, Rachel’s most recent work is with kiln formed objects made of embedded elements fused in gl...ass. The art form utilizes techniques she studied at Espace-Verre in her hometown of Montreal (kiln-forming and sandcasting). The fired objects are often incorporated into abstract paintings, adding a new, elusive and surprising element to the composition, further enflaming the emotional content with the spirit of the kiln. Glass fusion is found in stained glass, wall pieces and jewellery. See more
