The Salvation Army teams from Texas City and Beaumont are providing food to those seeking help from local resource centers, even ahead of the storm making landfall, said Alvin Migues, Director of The Salvation Army Emergency Disaster Services (EDS) in Texas.

The Salvation Army is active in communities throughout the Alberta and Northern Territories and has staff and volunteers working against trafficking. Many stories are heard and gathered which provide important information about the trends of trafficking. The Salvation Army Community Services (Calgary) is helping families in these challenging COVID-19 days. Throughout the summer they have hosted a drive-through food hamper distribution program for families in the northeast part of the city, but this week the program includes back-to-school needs as well. I have my life, I have my wife, I have my dog, and the rest of it, we can sort it out, said Major Donald Bladen, Community Ministry Officer of the Lethbridge Salvation Army. A husband, a wife, four beautiful children and a dog all got out. At the end of the day, where it started, why it started and all of that stuff, thats not really so much my concern. My concern is that my neighbours are all safe and were safe and, you know what, houses can be rebuilt.
