We are so excited to officially launch the 2020 Kettle Campaign! COVID-19 may have stopped our Hope in the City Luncheon, but we are still ringing our bells! Over the next 5 weeks, we will have hundreds of volunteers stationed at local businesses in Windsor spreading Christmas cheer, and honouring The Salvation Army traditions. The money raised during this campaign stays directly in Windsor - Essex and supports vital programs year round. Salvation Army Toy Hamper Volunteer Opportunity It's the most wonderful time of the year and The Salvation Army in Windsor is working hard to alleviate the stresses of Christmas for the most vulnerable in our community. This week, preparation for our Toy Hamper Distribution will begin. Immediately, we are looking for individuals available to assist with sorting toys.... We will begin sorting toys on Thursday, November 19th and Friday, November 20st from 10:30am-2:30pm. Sorting will take place at The Salvation Army South Windsor Citadel (1201 Grand Marais Rd W). There will only be 10 people allowed on-site at a time. Volunteers will need to complete a self-screening declaration (confirming that they are healthy and fit to be volunteering that day). Masks/Face coverings are mandatory. We will do our best to maintain the appropriate physical distancing between each other as we sort. Volunteers are encouraged to bring their own drinks, snacks/lunches if desired. Anyone interested in volunteering is encouraged to call 519-966-7807 to sign up

HUGE thanks to Greg Lemay and friends for putting this project together! They donated 50 lunch packages to us with coffee and water for our clients on December 24th! Ontop of providing a delicious lunch they also donated thousands of masks, toothbrushes, and other hygiene supplies.
