Join us tonight for our launch and fundraiser at @theoudandthefuzz! Artist @davesetrakianart will be present. Masks and social distancing is a must. From the artist: "Dreamer" is a picture that signifies uncertainty and anxiousness in contrast with hopes and dreams. These mixed feelings are without a doubt what we are dealing with during our current situation in 2020. Even though we cannot control everything that happens, it is important that we hold on to hope and fight for our dreams.

Join us tonight for the opening of The Persistent Evidence from 5-9! With a special performance titled The Bloodied Shirt of Samuel Peters Jarvis at 7 by theatre actor Bruce Beaton @brucejbeaton Samuel Jarvis is an example of the colonial privilege that thrived here in Toronto in the early 1800s. His father William was treated very well for his loyalty to the British Crown in the American Revolution. William was given a prime chunk of property - Park Lot #6 - in 1793. This 1...00 acre lot ran from Queen Street to Bloor Street on either side of today’s Jarvis Street. William Jarvis was also a slave holder. Imagine Samuel Peters Jarvis being interviewed on the day that he will model for his honourific bronze statue. Imagine him as he gets ready that day as his gross malfeasance is revealed. Imagine him as he greets his legacy in blood. He was never immortalized in bronze, never put up on a pedestal, but Jarvis Street bears his name.
