BE HUMBLE ! Draw near to GOD Humility is perfect quietness of heart, Andrew Murray said. It is to have no trouble. It is never to be fretted or irritated or sore or disappointed. It is to expect nothing, to wonder at nothing that is done to me. It is to be at rest when nobody praises me and when I am blamed or despised. It is to have a blessed hope in the Lord, where I can go in and shut the door and kneel to my Father in secret, and am at peace as in a deep sea of calmness when all around and above is trouble.

If you want to know Christ and Him crucified and resurrected we are the place for you if you don’t then there are other places to search out what you are looking for, but before you decide let me. Assure you there is no true life apart from JESUS!!

Many Christian believers spend all their time chasing demons and looking for evil in the world this is not what we are called to do, we should be aware but impressed with God. The word tells us he who abides in Christ does not sin so lets spend our time seeking Jesus for he is the awesome King of Kings and Lord of lords and in him we can rest and trust as James says let us draw near to God and Satan will flee from us so let us not be impressed with Satan and all that is evil in the world instead let us be overwhelmed by the power and might of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He knows what is in the world, He reigns over it and He keeps all who are His and none can snatch out of His hands what belongs to Him! .All Glory and praise be to our Lord God Almighty

I recently received this letter from a former client it is so encouraging to see what the Lord does in those who seek him.So I want to share it with you with the hope it will encourage you too! Hey Tom, Ed here touching base thinking of you and your family along with our big family in the body of Christ and a smaller one at the Samaritan Inn. Hope you and Paul and families are well and adapting to the new (and still fatally flawed) world we live in. Wanted to provide an upda...te on the progress of this former client at the Samaritan Inn and a grateful recipient of the grace of God. Marked four years of sobriety a few days ago and all the benefits that go with it. First and foremost is my relationship with Jesus, who I thank every morning, every night and all through the day, praying at all times in praise of everything He's done for me It's literally amazing to me the restoration He has worked in my life. Those years that the locust has eaten are fading the with new life and light that shines in me. Just briefly, I started a new job at the beginning of August as a residential support worker with Cool Aid, which operates over a dozen properties in Victoria caring for the vulnerable population in the city. Although it's a secular organization I feel at home there Tommy, and am reminded of the many experiences and lessons learned from you and many others (fellow clients included) at the Inn. The Spirit leads me and informs my words and actions in every arena I enter, whether in the company of my brothers and sisters in Christ, or at the workplace, the grocery store or anywhere else. People, I think, see the light of Jesus in me. My son graduated with honours and valedictorian at Victoria High School, and is beginning studies at UVic with 5 grand in scholarships...he's beautiful, healthy and happy...yet another gift of God. I remember you saying that when working in an environment so full of sorrow and hardship it's important to recall the success stories. Today, and it's always one day at a time, I consider myself one of those stories for you Tom. I want to thank you, and all my friends in Abbotsford, for all the great and small touches of love and compassion I was blessed to receive there. All of it, of course, is the work of God and his glorious son Jesus. Maybe Ill get by and see you again one day at the Inn. Until then, I continue to pray for you, our friends and family, and for more success stories at the Inn. Ed These are the things the Lord does in the lives of his people, Praise be to Jesus!

Isa 45:5 I am the LORD, and there is no other, besides me there is no God; I equip you, though you do not know me, Isa 45:6 that people may know, from the rising of the sun and from the west, that there is none besides me; I am the LORD, and there is no other. Isa 45:7 I form light and create darkness, I make well-being and create calamity, I am the LORD, who does all these things. In times like these we can all take comfort for the Lord our God is ruling and reigning in all these and He allows all things in the end for His glory and our salvation!! Praise be to our great King
