Councillor Cleary is trying out something new. A little video walk-through in advance of each Council meeting. It's an interesting idea to try. As folks who follow my page know, I put a lot into my write-ups of what happened at Council and why, but sometimes I have felt that they can be a bit too after the fact. This is kind of tackling the demystifying Council challenge from the other end. Take a look. Shawn Cleary, Councillor for District 9-Halifax West Armdale

Municipal staff are designing an improved connection between the Dartmouth Common and the Shubenacadie Canal Greenway. New street treatments are being considere...d to make it safer and more comfortable for people to walk, wheel, roll, and cycle along this route. The Dahlia Street route has been selected based on internal evaluation and what we heard in round one of public engagement. The project team has developed a set of design options for Dahlia street enhancements for community feedback. An online survey will be available Oct. 14 through Oct. 27. The next live webinar session is Saturday, Oct. 24 from 10 - 11 a.m. For more information, please go to www.shapeyourcityhalifax.ca/dahlia-oak-crichton We look forward to your comments!
