Come support our Mental Health Matchup at the men's & women's basketball games this Saturday, January 27th! #HuddleUp

This past weekend there were 2 community events that were held in support of mental health to help raise awareness and end the stigma. The Tickle Swim 2017 for mental health is a 5km swim across the tickle from Bell Island to Portugal Cove St. Phillips in support of Canadian Mental Health Association Newfoundland and Labrador Division work in Newfoundland and Labrador. 5 current swimmers and 1 alumni participated in this event and together raised a total of $4,744! The seco...nd event that took place in Halifax was the fourth annual Alex McLaughlin Memorial Basketball Tournament. Their mission is to help educate athletes, families, coaches, and athletic organizations of all sports and offer strategies for how to access assistance for those who need it. All funds raised will be donated to the Student-Athlete Mental Health Initiative - SAMHI. Past, present and future players all participated in this competitive weekend of basketball!
