As Canadians, we should be very concerned by these changes as it will significantly weaken Canada's competitive position vs the US. Many US firms have located offices here in Canada to take advantage of the lower corporate tax environment and many new international firms will now look harder at locating in the US (rather than Canada) than they have ever done. I'm definitely concerned....

The "mass exodus" from seed rounds continues with the number of deals down significantly for the third year in the a row. But total capital invested is up indicating when funding happens it is happening in much larger check sizes...
