Before fighting the decision, it is important that you understand why you have been denied. In your file, under "Rationale" you will be able to see their reasoning behind denying your claim. As we move to new ways of operating, businesses are implementing strategies to ensure they can continue to operate in a rapidly changing and increasingly uncertain legal and regulatory landscape. Whilst public health still remains the top priority, many businesses are facing difficult challenges, including major disruption to their supply chains, meeting contractual obligations, bringing employees back to the workplace, and implications under funding arrangements. What the future will hold, as we attempt to move towards a period of recovery, is unclear. However, we can certainly expect disruption for some time. For legal questions related to COVID-19 please contact us at: [email protected] or call us 902-539-2425. We are here to help you.

Planning a wedding during so much uncertainty can be stressful. If you are starting to book some vendors there are various things you should keep in mind: - Carefully review these contracts to ensure they clearly set out all of the products or services you expect to receive. Recently, a pair of Nova Scotia newlyweds sued the rental company they hired to provide tents, tables, chairs, linens, dishes, cutlery, a dance floor, and other items for their wedding. The rental company... delivered the items two days late and there was a lot of confusion as to what services were to be provided by the rental company. Although the Court awarded the newlyweds $5,419.39, this was less than they had sought and their enjoyment of their wedding was severely impacted. - Carefully review these contracts to make sure a reasonable cancellation or reschedule policy is in effect. Covid-19 is so unpredictable and it is difficult to plan ahead. If you have these agreements in place upon booking it will make things smoother in the long run.
