#WISDOMWEDNESDAY Canadian National Team Wrestler, Tokyo 2021 Olympic Hopeful, RBC Olympian, and Fast & Female R.E.A.L. Role Model Samantha Stewart shares some... words of wisdom.... "Supporting your teammates is always important, but it looks a little different when they have been diagnosed with a concussion... Athletes have that desire to perform all the time and always want to push themselves to the extreme to be the best. However, pushing yourself in the short-term through an injury to return to play too soon can have lasting effects. Supporting your teammate through a concussion involves asking them not to train through it, reassuring them that they are not falling behind by taking the appropriate time to heal, and being there for them emotionally outside the practice room."
