As the snow begins to establish itself back into our lives this holiday season, let’s take a look at a few of the many jars of sand that Sam collected over his career. Left to right: Black sand from Hawaii (possibly volcanic) c. 1974, sand from Oahu, Hawaii c. 1974, sand from Kauai, Hawaii, c.1974, sand from Bermuda c. 1951, and white sand from Florida c. unknown. #curiositiesfromthecollectionsroom #sandcollection #samwallermusem
Happy Thursday! These photographs are of the first drugstore, Northland Drug Co., north of The Pas c.1928. The man in the doorway is said to be Bob Maguire, druggist. If you look closely in the store window, you can see the reflection of the individual taking the photograph! #throwbackthursday #tbt #northlanddrugco

Garden in the City This is another of my favourite gardens to work in. This exquisite little garden showed me what could be achieved with careful planting even in the smallest yards. The space was tiny yet featured several "garden rooms" that brought beauty, whimsy and deep tranquility in the midst of the chaotic urban setting. Just lovely. This is the sixteenth piece in my series "Prairie Days".... $2000
