Hi All: long time since last post due to,not much to say. However Sean and Seamus want you to know that Sand 'N Sky Yarns and Designs are Renovating, yes renovating! !! We will be White and Bright. Opening when it is SAFE for us and you. So squash the rumour of whatever else you heard. We are really looking forward to seeing you all soon. We will keep you posted. Hi all. Yes today is Rob's Birthday. I made him a cake. To be truthful it isn't the best cake I ever tasted, but overall it's a keeper, considering it is the first birthday cake I ever made. He was surprised and thrilled that I made it. So during these strange times a wee bit of love and happiness. PS it took me most of the day, I have a new found appreciation for those bakers who "just whip up a cake" , I now need a nap, a foot rub, a back rub, and a cup of tea.

Good evening everyone, Here is a suggestion that is easy to do and is very effective at protecting you. This is excellent for gas pumps and things that you have to pick up so that your bare skin does not come into contact with the pump handle, items etc... You all have Saran wrap in your kitchen cupboard. All you need to do is take a SMALL piece - enough to wrap around your hand and secure itself. This will cover your hand. Use once peel off and throw in bin. Surgical gloves and thin latex gloves are in desperately short supply. Please don't waste them. The people who really need them like health care and emergency responders who require them for protection should be foremost in your mind. Let's keep them safe by using alternative options where possible. I hope this suggestion is useful to you. Stay safe from Sand N Sky Take care everybody.

It's a beautiful day! Our little tree in the shop Window is lit up. I will set it so that it stays on 24 hrs a day. In the Window on the right hand side I have hung our bulletin board up. I have put every Nova Scotia heath authority notice I could print on it. These are the official advisories about COVID-19. They tell you what to do and what not to do to protect yourself and your families. ... If you know people who do not have Facebook, the Internet etc and they want to see and read this information you can advise them where to go and look. If you are in other stores etc ad you don't see this posted in full view at the entrance please very nicely ask the store to put it up so that people can take a minute to read it. Constant reinforcement and communicating this vital information is essential for All of us to weather this storm successfully. AND..... This is Martimes. ... we know about storms Keep safe

Good evening everyone, Shaun and Seamus are sad to announce that Sand 'N Sky Yarns & Designs is now closed until further notice. Unfortunately we have reached the point where the risk is too high for ourselves and others.... We will be monitoring the situation as it develops and we hope that we will be back to offer our services as soon as possible. We will miss you all and especially our ladies of the Nauti Knitters and hope to see you all again soon. For those of you who are aware of our stock lines and have a specific request please contact us by email or via Facebook and we will try to help.
