We sand together, Edmonton! The 2020 Boardwalk Sand On Whyte may be cancelled, but we look forward to creating new memories with you again.
THANK YOU for making this our largest and most successful Sand On Whyte ever! We wouldn't have done this without our visitors, volunteers, production team, sponsors, partners, and funders. Of course a big thank you to our sand carving artists Peter Vogelaar and Guy Olivier Deveau.... And a very special thank you to Producer Wanda Bornn, retiring from Sand on Whyte and Ice on Whyte Festival. She had the vision to start the annual events and make them what they are today! The winner of the People's Choice is 'Hope' created by at our sand carving bootcamp by visual art students in partnership with The Works Art & Design Festival. They were mentored by our professional sand carving artists Peter Vogelaar and Guy Olivier Deveau. Of course we couldn't bring this art back every year without Edmonton Arts Council and Alberta Foundation for the Arts providing grants here at Boardwalk #SandOnWhyte.
Today is the last day to visit Boardwalk #SandOnWhyte 2019! We're open until 10pm here in Old Strathcona - Whyte Avenue. The Whyte Avenue Art Walk is also here.
Sunday is the last day of #SandOnWhyte 2019! It's a fun-filled weekend with lots of events happening in Old Strathcona - Whyte Avenue. We're open 10am-10pm, admission by cash donation. Thanks to Travel Alberta, Edmonton Tourism and Old Strathcona Foundation
It's the last two days of #SandOnWhyte. Visit us today until 10pm. Don't forget the Old Strathcona Farmers' Market, and The Whyte Avenue Art Walk. We have performances on site all day, and Blue Giraffe Creamery is here serving liquid nitrogen iced cream and waffle on a stick!
