I love this 2 Cellos video. The music is just so evocative of passion and sadness and hope. There are stories there, floating perhaps, at first, then sinking to the bottom of the sea, waiting to be told. https://themusicsite.com//vide/2cellos-my-heart-will-go-on

There really should be a scene in my book in which Cecilia breaks a wine glass with her voice: https://scroll.in//watch-this-young-woman-used-her-voice-t
This is what it's all about - the power of music to transform lives.
This is what I need right now, when I'm letting fear run the show.
Last week, I discovered a new author, one I knew immediately was My Kind of Author, one who knows how to create characters I love and care about. Her name is Jan Maher. I liked her page and bought her ebook "Earth as It Is", https://www.facebook.com/JanMaherWriter/ Ever since, I've been trying to exercise some self-discipline. I'm determined not to finish the book before I go home today, because I want to read it on the plane and on the ferry. But let me tell you, it's not e...asy. Charlene (Charlie), the main character, is compelling. The story is fascinating. I want to keep reading, right to the last letter. Tonight, as I'm flying over snow-capped mountains and sailing across the strait, I'll settle in for a good read. I hope you will do the same. Check out this author, and check out this book. It's good!
My character Cecilia Taylor's whole life is a song. Today, I would like to think of her singing this particular song, a prayer of hope for the coming year. I wish you and yours peace, freedom, and joy in the new year. https://youtu.be/TAqh9IdA5XY
Merry Christmas, everyone. Tomorrow, I'm off to the north country to spend a week with my children. I'm hoping to get a lot of writing done while I'm away. I'll probably write a scene that takes place in the depths of winter, with maybe a couple of feet of snow. Cecilia, my MC, is a lot easier with snow than I am, having grown up in Ontario.
And in honour of the season, this lovely rendition of a holiday classic:
Okay, maybe we don't all have the gift of song - but some of us make up for it in sheer exuberance.
