Among our many donations, these pictures will find their new place in the Canadian Coast Guard office at the Sandspit Marina

The Sandspit Inn is now empty... Thank you to everyone who came to the sale and purchased some items/furniture/equipment. In the end, only one trip to the dump was necessary, all the rest was dispersed to all Haida Gwaii communities (Except a few items that did get shipped to Terrace) and will find a second life in local families and small businesses. Some kitchen equipment is still available for sale on Haida Gwaii Buy and Sell. The Sandspit Community Society is sad to see the Inn close, but we will continue to work on community projects, and focus on our existing projects: the Sandspit Visitor Centre, the Sandspit Bus, Loggers Sports day, Sandspit Wild Harvest Festival, Sandspit Rec Committee, The Moresby Market and more... We look forward to also work on new projects!

The following link is to a public statement that the SCS board wishes to release about the closure of the Sandspit Inn and the timeline of the events that led to it.

Tomorrow, Friday July 24th, will be everybody's last chance to get some of the remaining items we have left at the Sandspit Inn. 11am to 2pm. Almost everything by donation!... We will not be able to respond to requests, inquiries etc. If you are interested in something or have a question, come by! YOU MUST WEAR A FACE MASK TO COME INTO THE INN - WE WILL PROVIDE HAND SANITIZER
