Golf Course Groundskeeper... Looking for a suitable candidate for the Grounds Maintenance dept. Qualities sought include: Class 5 drivers, previous golf course or turf experience, knowledge of fertilization and soil chemistry, operation of various mowing equipment, operation of irrigation equipment, ability to work unsupervised in an outdoor all weather setting, work cooperatively with other staff. Position is seasonal starting immediately and running through till Fall. Summer Park Maintenance Staff Applicants must have a valid driver's license and be able to operate most types of lawn / garden care equipment. Duties include, but are not limited to: garbage collection, cleaning facilities, painting, mowing and general grounds & equipment maintenance. Duties include, but not limited to: taking registrations for camping, collecting money for vehicle park passes booking tee times for golf course, collecting money for golf course rounds, sales of concession products, garbage collection, maintaining washrooms and front entrance building in a clean and presentable manner, may also include some general grounds maintenance. Essential Skills: Takes direction well from supervisors, Strong customer service skills, Working with others and Oral communication

Camping is open again to 100% of sites, but is still limited to all camping units needing to be self contained, shower house is not open. Still no tenting.

Camping Starting June 1, long-term seasonal, overnight stay and limited-term campers will be allowed under the following conditions until the public health order is amended: * Reservations must be accepted in advance. https://www.sandybeachpark.ca/stay * Overnight stays and limited-term campsites may only be occupied at 50 per cent capacity, with no adjacent sites occupied at the same time.... * Contactless transactions must be used (electronic payment, delivery of fire wood, etc.). * No group campsites/reservations permitted. Double sites may not be booked. * All shower, washroom and laundry facilities must be closed. * All camping units are required to be self contained, campers to use washrooms in their trailers. * Campers exhibiting signs of illness will not be permitted. * Enhanced cleaning and disinfection practices will be undertaken at water fill stations. COVID - 19 and Sandy Beach Park FAQ: Q: Will there still be any Canada Day events or Summer markets this year? No. All community based programming and events are cancelled indefinitely.

ALERT: There has been two bears spotted in the park recently. Sask Environment has a bear trap set up on the top of the hill. Please be careful and watchful.

COVID-19 and Sandy Beach FAQs: Q: Will the boat launch be open? Yes. The boat launch will be open. Regulations with boating specify that passengers in boats are limited to only those who reside in the same household. ... Q: With beaches being closed, can I still launch my kayak or SUP board? Yes. Beaches will be closed to gatherings and recreational use, however accessing the water to launch a watercraft will be allowed via the boat launch area.

COVID-19 and Sandy Beach FAQs: Q: Will all park facilities be closed? Yes, all facilities will remain closed (beach access, picnic areas, playgrounds, horseshoe pits, basketball courts, showers and washrooms, and concession, etc.) at this time. Park users will be asked to continue social distancing and use the parks responsibly.

Park Gate Opens May 15th The Sandy Beach Regional Park will open on May 15th, 2020. You will be able to purchase both a day pass and/or a seasonal pass at the front gate through the window. In order to keep our park staff safe, only visa, master card or debit will be accepted NO CASH accepted at this time. Please note that though the park is open that services are currently limited to camping (starting June 1st), golfing and the boat launch. Walking paths are also open.

Swimming Lessons at Sandy Beach Cancelled. In accordance with the Saskatchewan Provincial parks all community based programming and events are cancelled indefinitely. Thank you to everyone who registers year after year, we look forward to seeing you again in 2021.

This Sunday (December 1st) come out to Sandy Beach for the first annual Christmas Market being held from 12noon till 5pm. Held in the hall, the market will include local arts, crafts, baking and other vendors. Outdoor activities including a scavenger hunt, bonfire and a tree lighting will also be taking place.
