Here’s a tip to reduce potential of maggots! After preparing a meal, fish, red meat, white meat or anything organic... figure out how many days until the garbage is collected. If more than a day, take that organic waste, use a garbage bag and freeze it until garbage day. This will reduce the opportunity of maggots appearing in your garbage.

It’s been 3 years and I waited for the worst time in our lifetime to make this project decision and yet the best time as it’s so slow during Covid. Another reason to use Sani-Bin! City of Guelph 2019 Outside Water Use Program - Level 1 Yellow now in effect Conserve water- we filter at multiple stages and reuse water.... Your hose runs at 20L per minute. Let’s say it takes 10 minutes to wash out all 3 bins( which we know it’s longer than that) ...that’s 200L for one household. We use 200L of water to wash bins at 40 houses. Not to mention...you shouldn’t wash your bins on the driveway or on the grass. That contaminates rivers and streams. If you do wash your own, dump the waste water in your sink or toilet...at least it will be treated properly. We take care of gross in an environmentally wise way.

Sani-Bin was asked to work with the City of Guelph on the public space containers once again! Keep downtown clean and we will work on those bins!!!
