Santa Edson

Santa Edson is still going ahead with pre-Christmas home deliveries. New regulations say that home visits indoor are not allowed. The regulations did not restrict pizza deliveries or other deliveries to the front door. Therefore..,.. Santa comes to door. Reaches into bag, pulls out gift and calls child to collect. No singing, no hugging, no posing for pictures except for taking at door. Short and sweet. Santa arriving to drop off an early Christmas present, that's all!!! La...test option to not circumvent the regulations, but rather to work with them The host is still only allowed to have immediate family in the house, so this would work for individual families at their homes keeping in line with the regulations which state "Indoor close contacts must be limited to people in the same household" Santa will NOT enter the home, all must take place at either the front or side/back door. NOTICE****from Edson Chamber of Commerce Unfortunately due to the latest restrictions we are unable to safely go ahead with a drive through parade this year. The safety of the float participants to gather to prepare and participate may put them at risk. Therefore, the 2020 Santa Parade is cancelled. We understand your disappointment, however we want our community to stay as safe as possible.

NOTICE>>> Following today's AHS and Govt announcement about tighter restrictions regarding covid, Santa Edson by mutual consent, has cancelled 6 local bookings that would have taken place within a residence. I am sorry that it came to this but with the mandate presented by officials, I have no choice. I hope and pray that 2021 will be much better and that we will see you all next Christmas season> Oh yes....Santa will still be able to do his rounds on Christmas Eve to all th...e good boys and girls in the world. UPDATE...THE PARADE WILL BE ON 1st AVENUE. This year the 34th Annual Santa Parade will be held on Friday December 4th, 2020 on 1st Avenue, with the drive by for... spectators starting at 6pm. It will be a 'reverse' parade where the floats are parked and spectators will drive by in vehicles only. There will be no spectators allowed on the sidewalks. You must be in a vehicle to view the parade. The parade will also be on Facebook live to view. There will be no candy or any transfer of anything from the floats. It will be different for this year as we must abide by AHS covid regulations. OUR PRIORITY IS TO KEEP OUR COMMUNITY SAFE. We are excited to have found a way to bring a parade to you. Santa will be on one of the floats to wave as you go by. Floats must be registered with the Edson and District Chamber of Commerce.
