Many parents ask, "How can I inspire a genuine love of music in my child?" "How can I motivate my child to practice more?" While many of us hope that the simple act of taking music lessons should suffice, my response to these questions may surprise you. We all need heroes in our craft and piano is no exception. 1. Go to the symphony. Attend and support live music. 2. Take advantage of the availability of quality recordings on YouTube. 3. Tune in to classical radio stations an...d make a donation if able. It is easy for children to become bored of the monotony that inevitably creeps into practice from time to time. Consider purchasing a subscription to the Windsor Symphony Orchestra (WSO) this upcoming season. These performances are sure to inspire and delight musicians of all ages.
