Welcome to our fabric journey for #distillerybleu! My original vision for our French/English country design was this eclectic mix of a beautiful french inspired floral, but took a long time to find the perfect plaid. As a bonus combo #2 is my personal favorite, but the floral is out of stock, so we're going with the neutral floral. . I always try to push my clients design boundaries to ensure they're getting what they love- and we reached our clients limit with this! The top image in the first picture is what we all thing cabinetry in the corner of our kitchen will look like. Looks pretty simple. The bottom image in the first picture shows how it should look, and the third image shows you why. They say the devil is in the details and that's certainly correct in the kitchen. Stitchin in the Kitchen does beautiful, talented portraits using felt and an old sewing machine in her kitchen. Our client was looking for ways to make her budget stretch further (myth busted- this happens at ALL income levels btw) for all the millwork we're installed through-out her one bedroom condo. She asked "why don't we use ikea cabinets and put nice doors on them?". Our client is passionate about quality behind all ...the pretty and we let her know- because that's the part you need to invest in! The guts of the cabinet are where you'll be biggest return, especially if this is your forever home, like it is for our #distillerybleu client. You'll notice the quality difference in the hinges, drawers and sometimes even in the finishes (not all painted finishes are created equal and laminate/lacquer finishes are definitely NOT created equal). . No posts over the weekend- we were concentrating on enjoying the long weekend with everyone else!
