The SA is getting ready to publish our annual daytimer - The Source - and we're running a contest for @gbcollege students, recent graduates, and alumni to design the cover. We're seeking designs that speak to one of our two themes: "Sustainability" or "Students Empowered to Influence a Just World." The first place winner will have their design on the cover of The Source 2022/23 and receive a $500 cash prize; Nine runners up will also receive a prize of $100 in grocery e-gift cards to thank them for their efforts. Don't forget! May 20th is the last day to drop a full semester (15-week) or Session 1 (7-week) course without academic penalty, or to withdraw from a program and receive a partial refund. ABOUT WITHDRAWING WITHOUT ACADEMIC PENALTY If you drop before this deadline, the courses/programs won't appear on your official GBC transcript or impact your GPA.... Full-time students on OSAP who drop more than 2 courses might be bumped to part-time status, which can affect your funding. I MISSED THE DEADLINE, NOW WHAT? Late withdrawals (or being absent for the rest of the term and without submitting outstanding assignments) continue to be graded. These courses get a final grade and are calculated into your GPA, which can impact your academic standing. Sometimes, late withdrawals happen. If you have a late withdrawal impacting your academic record or standing, contact Academic Support to talk about if you can appeal for late withdrawal: bit.ly/SAcontactACADEMIC (clickable link in the bio).
