mello saturday, just being in the moment

yesterday, as I was walking down UNBC hill as the sun was rising, I was watching the effect of the sunrise as well as the sunrise itself. I was thinking, that we are, at this point in time, in many ways, observing our lives obliquely - through memory, through social media, through "what we had" and "what we want to get back to". . . I wonder about where we are going, about how to get there, about how to adapt and evolve. . .I feel the sun on my face, and I am grateful for this moment, for the people I love and work with, for community that comes together over and over again.

20 minute dance party to "happy folk" at 6 am and a hike to watch the sunrise helps to put me in the frame of mind to smile at my neighbor and remember that we are all in it together. happy dog, happy life. enjoying the little things.

Everyday we have the opportunity to grow. I, for one, believe we are up to the challenge.
