Even celebrities aren't above copyright violations. Lady Gaga's Official Youtube account was pulled down because of a 10 minute video clip from a Japanese show. Yes, she was the performer; no she didn't have copyright (I know, it's confusing). But don't worry, all's well again. The Youtube account is back up. Just goes to show no one's above copyright laws.

Read those consents before you sign them. The courts are likely going to uphold consents especially when you have been given time to review them and were expected to consult a lawyer. And, for good measure, consents drafted by media companies are most likely not going to be in your favour. The question is how much are those 15 minutes of fame worth to you.
