So the october 25 show that i had planned (and was really excited about) has now been cancelled. The Masonic Lodge has been giving me a hassle since the last show and I have not been able to find a suitable venue on such short notice. i sincerely apologize to anyone who was planning on coming out that night, this was not how i wanted things to go down. The incident occurred at the last show, some carved the initials "AR" into the wall inside the venue. I did not know abo...ut this until the day after when the Masonics manager called me and told me, neither of us had noticed when we did the initial inspection together friday night. I was never given a chance to actually see the damage in person or attempt to fix it on my own (which i would have gladly done), I was only sent a picture of it which i will post after this. I was told that I had to attend a meeting on 17th to determine whether i would be allowed to rent the venue in the future. Being that that is only 1 week prior to the show I could not take the chance and therefore I made the decision to cancel. Obviously this was not easy because in the end its the bands and concert goers who lose out. So I emailed him to inform that I would not be renting with him in the future but I would still attend the meeting to urge them to continue renting to others who want hold similar functions. this was his reply "We are glad that you will be attending. You will be able to meet another group similar to yours that rents with us without issues. Perhaps you could exchange notes on proper behaviour in another persons home." And that is that. the whole situation has left me extremely frustrated and disheartened. I honestly want to do good for the scene and the community but apparently that is just not meant to be. I have alot of other things to focus on as well and to put so much effort into something and be treated this way in return is extremely frustrating. I honestly dont know if i will be putting on anymore shows again, (yes im giving up that soon) but i'll let everything sit and see how i feel in the future
