This afternoon I put forward a motion to City Council that was approved unanimously, to begin work on the development of an Urban Reserve Strategy. I'm looking forward to the report coming back so that we can get moving on this important initiative. A big shoutout to Chief Billy Morin of the Enoch Cree Nation, who approached me about this in the first place, and to my council colleagues who noted that special economic zones/urban reserves have been a long time coming in our city.
