What storms in life come your way. Wednesday night I ran the Sarah Lynne aground at Shippagan on the Northumberland side of the town. I was trying to get into Shippagan Gully but the wind and waves had other plans. I managed to contact the coast guard who got me to the Bay of Chaleur side where I was able to dock and check out the damage. Many thanks so to the crew of the coast guard vessel. Blessed to be alive.

Got caught in a gale in the Northumberland Strait. Had to call the coast guard. Almost bought the farm.

Found a boat I have been following on YouTube. It's a 25 foot Contessa which was sailed across the Atlantic and back. If you have a minute check them out.

I truly believe that this pandemic is far from over. If Covid 19 follows the same pattern as the Spanish Flu and other pandemics we can expect a second and third wave as the government rushes to open up the economy. With this in mind I am bringing the Sarah Lynne home to Ontario. I am disappointed that I will not fulfill my plans of a transatlantic crossing this year but I have to keep it real. Upon reflection, it may be better to stay in Canada and support and promote local businesses. I firmly believe when one door closes another will open. I am excited about the future. Whatever it holds, its going to be awesome.

The struggle continues. I am still unable to access my boat. I have applied and even been approved only to have that approval rescinded. My boat is my home and my business.
