Now is definitely the time to do politics differently. Thank you for your brave, bold, and timely statement, Laura Mae Lindo. I see this as a non-partisan, genuine call to action. Racism is NOT something we can address from one level of government, so let's work together. I am in.

This is a beautiful response to the awful flyers going around in KW. Our community is working through some very important conversations. Let's keep these conversations going. I appreciate those who are not re-posting the hateful, ignorant flyer, which has now received way more air time than it ever would have before social media. Thank you Alysha Brilla for putting yourself out there with empathy and love.

Today’s peaceful, well organized demonstration was the largest I’ve ever been to in Kitchener. Kudos to the organizers of KW Solidarity March for Black Lives Ma...tter. It was inspiring. This is a moment when we need to take hold of the collective energy and do the work, have the necessary conversations, and make important changes. I am committed to putting in the time, working together on breaking down systemic racism in my role at the city, and at home. #BlackLivesMatter See more
