I do love a good challenge! A few weeks ago I get an email from a fellow who accidentally broke the only thing his girlfriend had from her passed on grandmother. Her heart was broken. It was a small vintage bottle smashed to smithereens, but he was smart and kept the pieces...what could be done? I suggested a wind chime but instead we decided on a fused glass lattice type bowl. Look how pretty it became and it also has a heart shape too. New life has been breathed into what essentially was headed for the garbage. I fused all the broken bits into ribs, and then into a patchwork, and finally the slumped bowl form. I made a clear bowl insert so it can be functional and made a pendant as well for her to keep her grandma close to her heart. I love it, I hope she does too!

I love when my earrings find great new homes. Hanging on soft lobes, the earrings can now all listen in on those sweet nothings and little secrets that lovers have - that so very few of us get to be privy too.

I call these my 5 o’clock tumblers. Just like your fav coffee mug, this is the glass to welcome you home and finish your day with. A big glass that you can pour yourself a juicy drink, hit the couch, put up those feet and not move for an hour. My second run at the windy tree series is on its way! It is so exciting what colours will be revealed when I get them to the sandblaster and remove the thin layer of black glass that encases the entire surface of the vessel. I almost feel like a kid at Christmas making these.
