First comes love, then comes marriage, then comes... Yup, it's fun photographing the baby bit too :) And while I'm there, seeing photos I took at their wedding. . Ok, it's time I post some wedding photos again as the season is well... um.. happening soon-ish? We'll see. But for now, here's a wedding photo in a family photo. Highlighting both an in-home family session and super casual backyard wedding!!! Hey, just my jam! .... Enjoy the home time. Hopefully spring decides to come and stay. Snow, be gone. . FYI, if any of you are working on your photo skills with your own fam, feel free to reach out for critiques or advise! A little photo talk is welcome! . .. #familyphotography #familyphotos #weddingphoto #photographingthestagesoflife #familyphotographer #family #momazine #familyportraits #wedding #outdoorwedding #rusticweddingchic #farmwedding See more

Can I just brag here for a moment about my amazing aunt Trish Tacoma??!!! Always creating new things, new ways, breaking the mold. Inspiring as always <3 If you haven't heard of her shop, Smoking Lily, be sure to check it out. I eagerly awaited silkscreened shirts, scarves and bags from her when I was a kid, and I can't say that's changed much as an adult! Her latest project is buying BACK clothing from customers who've loved their pieces to death already. She's repairing them and/or up-cycling to help reduce clothing waste. Awesome idea Trish!!

Having fun on the couch. . It’s not some huge thing, it's a little moment. A couple minutes of family snuggles and play. But sometimes it’s the small moments we miss the most as they grow up. The small moments that when captured, mean the most

Sometimes I get to do fun and unusual things, like spending a few days photographing hilarious people on the hill at Blue Mountain. And look at these serious faces... all business! . Admittedly I don’t ski, it terrifies me. But I am great with a toboggan.

We’re really awkward in front of the camera! . I think I hear this from almost all of my clients! I always assure them that they’ll get used to the camera quickly. We’re just going to do all the normal family things they do and I’m going to hang out and document it. I promise it’s very relaxed . My kids are crazy.... . Awesome, the more animated they are, the more great expressions I get to capture! And if they’re super shy I get to capture quiet moments and focus on the small gestures and expressive eyes. I’ve seen it all!! Believe me.. I worked at Sears portrait studio during art college, whew.. . Our house is a disaster. We just hosted my in-laws for the weekend! . Don’t worry! I can frame the photos to hide mess, but honestly, these photos and all the little things in them will be so precious to you down the road. Seeing those books on the table, that stuffy on the floor, the favourite game sprawled out... these are the things we’re often drawn to in old photos! The items that link us back to that time. So tidy or not, but don’t stress. . Family photo sessions should be fun, relaxed and easy. Well, at least after the first few clicks!! . . . #familyphotography #inhomesession #documentaryfamilyphotography #candidphotography #candidfamily #casualfamily #modernfamilyphotography See more

Winter family sessions are a thing!! I know we all think we should wait till summer or fall for gorgeous family photos, but let me assure you winter has its benefits. Cozy living room snuggles, book reading, tickle monster, playing in the snow and warming up with some hot chocolate and a good puzzle or board game. . . .... #familytime #documentaryphotography #documentyourdays #familyphotos #candidfamily #realfamily See more

Can I do another quote? Just one? Then I'll leave it alone. I promise. . . Love, love, love, says Percy. And hurry as fast as you can... along the shining beach, or the rubble, or the dust. Then, go to sleep. Give up your body heat, your beating heart. Then, trust. ~ Mary Oliver

"Snow was falling, so much like stars filling the dark trees that one could easily imagine its reason for being was nothing more... than prettiness. Can't help but share photos of this stunning mamma. Pregnancy goals anyone?? She was simply glowing. Climb into the water with mosquitos all around? Sure. Didn't bat an eyelash. . .... My clients are awesome. . . Personally, I did not glow while pregnant. My face exploded with acne and rosacea, but I slathered some makeup on for quick photo session between contractions (with my first) and coicidentally the day before birth (with my twins). I love the photos I have from this time, rosacea and all. It's such a crazy and awesome time, being pregnant. To not have it documented at all is a loss I feel, not matter how bloated, uncomfortable or blotchy we are. . . . #maternityphotos #maternitysession #pregancyphotos #babybump #bunintheoven #greybrucephotographer #maternityphotograph See more

A little newborn photo to warm your chilly afternoon. . I'm about to venture out into the snow with my littles while there's still some daylight left. I'm going to have to convince my kids to turn off Harry Potter audio books though.. and I think I'll be in for a fight. Gotta say though that it's nice not having to pull them away from screens... We might project a nature movie on our living wall after dinner tonight though! A favourite activity of ours in the winter. , ,
