Happy Friday! Planning on making many updates to the blog this year. First up is this amazing Post-Wedding Adventure Session that I shot a couple years back in Whistler. Lindsay, Jason and I got up at the crack of dawn and hiked down to Brandywine Falls a couple days after their wedding. Doing portraits after the wedding is always a great idea so that you can focus the wedding day on just celebrating with your guests! <3

Um yes it's me. I am actually blogging. It's been a hot minute but only because the season has been so busy and incredible I have been soaking it all in. However, I figured that I should probably share some of the amazing celebrations I've gotten to be a part of, like Jan and Ian's, wet, West Coast wedding on Thetis Island last year. This intimate day took place at the stunning Overbury Farm Resort and was such a heart-filled event, I still smile thinking about it. It's been a hot minute since i've shared anything here, so I'll try and be better with updates in the coming month when I'm sitting inside editing all the amazing Summer weddings. Incredibly humbled and blown away to have received an award for Best Engagement Photo and finalist in the Best Candid/Photojournalism Photo categories at last night's Professional BC Wedding Awards! It means so much to be recognized by an all Canadian panel of judges and to be included in the talent pool of local peers who inspire me everyday! I have absolutely the best couples who trust my vision completely and allow me to be creative, and I'm so thankful for them! <3 Congrats to all the winners and finalists, I can't wait to make more magic with many of you this wedding season!

Does anyone else in Vancouver wish the weather would make up its mind? It seems like it's bouncing from hot to cold, icy to rainy, snowy to sunny. How is it already the middle of January?? So much work to do this month wrapping up editing from 2018 and prepping for this year! It's going to be another amazing season with so many awesome clients, vendor friends and beautiful venues <3

I haven't posted in a little while because I've just been so busy editing away, (wrapped in blankets, with my hair in a top knot, bingeing on podcasts). This time of the year is one of the busiest for photographers as we try and get all of the galleries from the summer back to our clients! <3 Here is one frame from an intimate wedding in Ucluelet from a few months ago...I'm already dreaming of going back here next year!
