It’s a double special day for our Revolution Family today. It’s not often teammates share a birthday but we are lucky to celebrate 2 special birthdays today. #happybirthday

Our hearts are broken as the Revolution family sadly lost one of our parents last week. Darrell Cherniak was an amazing man, one of the true ‘great’ ones. Darrell was a loving husband and father and a wonderful friend and teammate and was tragically taken from us way too soon. Darrell has been with our softball family for many years and was instrumental in the creation of the Southern Alberta Revolution Softball team. Darrell will forever be part of our Revolution family, on ...the field, off the field and most importantly in our hearts. Darrell was a great friend to all the parents and every player, always willing to lend a helping hand. Darrell was always a voice of reason and a man of his word. He was very generous with his time and in one of our last tournaments this season, Darrell donated lunch for all the attending teams as he wanted to support one of our local restaurants. That was Darrell, an amazing man with a heart of gold! We are lucky to have so many wonderful memories of Darrell; lots of smiles, tons of laughs and of course many late night, tournament weekend conversations. He will be dearly missed by our team but will never be forgotten. Our thoughts are with his wife Stacey, his son and youngest child Blake, his oldest daughter Carmen and Revolution star and daughter Kendall.
