For those who have been enjoying our Pozole", here you have a short description of this delicious Mexican soup: Firs, it is important to mention that corn was a sacred plant to Aztecs and other indigenous people of Mesoamerica. It starts way back when the Aztec god Quetzalcoatl made man out of corn more exact, God made humans from masa or cornmeal dough. As a r...esult, corn took on a deeply religious significance for the Aztecs and then, "Pozole" was made to be consumed on festivities; If you have Mexican friends or family you know that "Pozole" is served on special celebrations. This very famous soup in Mexico, calls for hominy (basically processed dried corn kernels), with meat, Mexican chiles, and garnished with lettuce or cabbage, radish, onions, cilantro, oregano, tortilla chips, salsa and sometime limes. It is delicious!!! for those who are curious, ask for a free sample on Saturdays.
