The first 4 pictures, shows complete upper and lower immediate denture. The 2nd set of pictures show an immediate partial upper denture. * Dentures are still in wax and have not been processed.... Immediate dentures are dentures that are fabricated prior to teeth extractions. The dentures will be inserted immediately after teeth are extracted, usually while the mouth is still frozen. Advantages of immediate dentures: Control swelling and allow the healing to progress Help keep the gums/tissue free of debris (food impaction) that can cause irritation Prevent dislodging of extraction site(s) blood clots that are necessary for healing
