SNOWFEST needs volunteers - Anyone (16 AND OLDER) who can volunteer tonight (between 5 p.m. - 11 p.m.), Wednesday, February 5th is asked to come to Downtown Sarnia (Christina Street & Lochiel) to help with building snow forms, for our international carvers - http://sarniasnowfest.blogspot.ca/ SNOWFEST is celebrating it's 23rd year this February, and plans are under way for a truly wonderful winter event. This year’s event will take place in downtown Sarnia in front of the A...AG Art Gallery on Lochiel Street. A local feature for the past twenty years at the Dow People Place in Centennial Park, this year SNOWFEST is pleased to announce the winter event will be moving to the Cultural District of Downtown Sarnia. The move will enable SNOWFEST to be a part of First Friday, a monthly cultural showcase in the downtown core. We at SNOWFEST are truly excited about the new partnership with First Friday.

Snowfest has been a local feature for the past twenty years at the Dow People Place in Centennial Park. This year Snowfest is pleased to announce the winter event will be moving to the Cultural District of Downtown Sarnia. The event will happen on Lochiel Street between Front and Christina... Streets. As a result Lochiel Street will be temporarily closed from Tuesday Feb 4th thru Sunday Feb 9th The event will feature: Snow Sculpting, Ice and Wood carvings, demonstrations and speed competitions, Children’s Ice Slide, Hot Drinks and a Warming Station.
