Support Local Business I was one of those very affected by this incident. I have eaten at Barakat Restaurant for the entire year almost weekly. When I became sick, quite a few people were telling me to take action against them for damages. As a local business owner, and well, a decent human - I would NEVER attack another local business or try to bring them down. It is classless to do so - accidents happen. This was no fault of the staff or cooking procedures, it was just d...ue to a product they received. It could have happened to any restaurant or happened to any of us at home. Local business should never try and bring each other down. It shows no class and all it would do is shine a negative light on myself and my company. It does nothing positive for me to do such a thing. Their staff have done a LOT for the community, providing countless free meals to health care workers and those in need during this difficult year and lockdown. When I got sick the manager reached out to me on social media with a genuine concern for my health. Big businesses would likely never do such a thing or if they did it would probably be a canned response to save their own tail. We need to support one another and lift each other up in challenging times, not bring one another down. I am glad to see them bouncing back from this incident. Continue to support local and those who are genuine. - Master Mark Warburton
Really feeling so inspired. The newest generation cadet/junior girls squad developing and getting sharper and sharper every session. Wonderful group of kids, all long legs for the sport, athletes, positive minds, STRONG work ethic and fun personalities. Already bonding together and with the current athletes like a team. Process has only just begun, but going to be a fun journey!
---Belt Test Schedule Update!--- We have almost 70 students eligible to test in a few weeks (and over 50 are white belts) so I have to split the testings up some more. ---Thursday December 3---... 4:30 pm and 5:30 pm : age 6 and under white belts (Even if they are 6 and do the 7-9 class they will test at this time) * Splitting this group in two because a parent will be allowed in the facility for this age group. ---Friday December 4--- 5:30 pm: All students currently yellow belts or higher ---Saturday December 5--- 9:00 am : Age 7 to 9 white belts 11:00 am : Ages 10 and up, white belts ---Parents and Spectators Guidelines--- * Ages 4-6 can have one parent in the facility during Testing * Ages 7+ we can have no parents in the facility, but everyone is encouraged to watch the Testing live on Zoom! We will have a photographer and HD video taken of the entire testing as well. Great progress by EVERYONE lately! So proud of all the students' hard work - Master Mark Warburton
