Anyone on small water or big water if it is fast water needs to know this basic. Great demonstration.
Last day of training for Swift Water Rescue level 2 and 3. Clayton Williams took the team on some last important drills. Entrapment drills to stay alive encase something goes wrong while rescuing another person. The power of fast moving water against one body up against a log jam or embankment has to be trained and practiced for the Rescuers safety. Releasing ones harness, life jack, ropes or other onboard equipment is a must with feel only as you most likely will be partially or wholly under water. Well done to the crew. Another weekend well spent. Thank you Ron Lamoureux for bring the chaps down from Ft McMurray for training. Looking forward to much more in the future. Thank you all from the Calling Lake SAR Team for a fun and learning experience.
