Effective immediately , due to the High Fire Danger Rating all open burningin the villages of Anmore and Belcarra is banned untilfurther notice. This includes all wood burning outdoor appliances.

We are receiving reports of smoke in the area. Our crews have been out today and currently there are no issues in our service protection area. There are a couple of large wildfires burning in Washington State that are blanketing parts of the lower mainland in smoke. There are also some fires in the BC interior that are causing issues for us as well. Please be vigilant and keep an eye out for any local causes.
