Now that Christmas is over and I won’t spoil any presents with this post...I’d like to give a shout out to some of the local businesses that made gift giving really fun and special for me this year. @crackalackindecor was able to transfer my late Grandmothers hand written recipe onto a cutting board that I gave to my Mom. I won’t post the video of her opening it because she’d kill me...but to say she was moved would be an understatement. It was such a special way to preserve... a memory @willowandnest was able to customize a mat for my brother & sister in laws trailer. Paired with some natural bug repellent & happy camper soap from @kibosoap this made a really fun camping theme gift for a family that loves the outdoors. @norasslimery makes the absolute best quality slimes around! My daughter plays with hers every day and it actually makes the playroom smell amazing! There were so many fun little trinkets to add into the slime play that I have never found anywhere else. I highly recommend all of these businesses...their service and products do not disappoint. Pick ups were very safe for the state we are in. We finished the last of our fudge deliveries today, and this one felt good! An amazing customer bought ALOT of fudge to have donated to our local food bank, and I also added in the leftovers I had from my Christmas orders. Together we were able to donate over 20 lbs of fudge! I am now sold out for personal orders. If you do need some last minute fudge you can always find it at Sheldon Creek Dairy Farm, Neighbour’s Country Depot, Hummingbird Hill Farm, & Heatherlea Farm Shoppe....All wonderful stores that support local vendors. We had another day of very special fudge deliveries The doctors, nurses & staff in the Cystic Fibrosis clinic that treat my sons are very important people in our lives. The least we can do is sweeten up their day with some treats! I wish I could make enough to deliver to every floor of this hospital. They go above and beyond to make it magical for the kids that have to spend time here #grateful #sickkidshospital #merrychristmas

Growing up in BC my Mom always took my sisters and I to visit our local farms. Whether it was picking pumpkins, strawberries or petting animals...those are some of my most favourite memories As an adult I have realized that visiting your local farms not only creates these everlasting memories, it also gives families a sense of security in the community. And so importantly- visiting your farms supports local businesses. They really are the backbone of our communities. We had a great visit to the dairy bar at @sheldoncreekdairy. The kids loved their treats and had a blast watching the cows. I feel very lucky to raise my kids in such a great community. #supportlocal #farms #community #icecreambar #family
